Booking, Rates, Deposit, and Payment Terms

Booking and reserving studio time at Secret Ninja Studios must be done in advance and only confirmed by Ryan Hafer. Verbal or email confirmation will suffice, but session time is not guaranteed until a deposit has been made (see below).

Any amount of time can be reserved, but there is a 2 (two) hour minimum billing for all sessions.

As of Jan. 1, 2011, the standard studio rates for all services are as follows:

Hourly - $60 per hour - 2 (two) hour minimum
Day Rate - $550 per day - up to 12 (twelve) hours per day **

** The day rate is up to a maximum of 12 hours from the scheduled start of the session. Short breaks and meal breaks are required and are part of that 12 hours. (For example, if we start at 10 a.m. and take an hour for lunch and an hour for dinner, we still end the session at 10 p.m.) Overtime is available at a rate of $90 per hour. The day rate cannot be split over multiple days - the rate is for a single session on a single day.

Rates include engineer and all equipment and services available at the studio.
There are no discounts for bringing your own engineer, but they are welcome.
Any additional rental equipment fees (for example, an exotic microphone or amplifier rental) will be added to the bill at cost.

Studio time that has been reserved is not guaranteed until a deposit equal to 50% of the booked time has been made. Deposits can be made at any time prior to the reserved time, and are subject to the rescheduling and cancellation policies as follows:

Rescheduling:
If your session must be rescheduled, your deposit will carry over to that new session as long as sufficient notice has been received and confirmed up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled time.

If notice is received between 48 and 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, there will be a 10% rescheduling fee.
If notice is received between 24 and 2 (two) hours prior to your scheduled time, there will be a 25% rescheduling fee.
If notice is received within 2 (two) hours of your scheduled time, there will be a 50% rescheduling fee.

Your session can be rescheduled for any time that is available within 2 months of your originally scheduled session and not be subject to the cancellation policies (see below).

Rescheduling fees are calculated from the amount of the deposit, not the session rates.

Cancellation:

If your session must be cancelled, your deposit will be refunded in full as long as sufficient notice has been received and confirmed up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled time.

If a cancellation notice is received between 72 and 48 hours of your scheduled time, there will be a 25% cancellation fee.
If a cancellation notice is received between 48 and 24 hours of your scheduled time, there will be a 50% cancellation fee.
If a cancellation notice is received within 24 hours of your scheduled time, 100% of your deposit will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.

Cancellation fees are calculated from the amount of the deposit, not the session rates.

Payment for deposits and studio fees can be made in cash, by check payable to Secret Ninja Productions, or by credit card. Please be aware that all rates listed, verbally communicated, or otherwise quoted reflect a 3% cash/check discount.

Rates, policies, and terms are subject to change without notice. Any other arrangements or agreements are at the sole discretion of Ryan Hafer, owner of Secret Ninja Studios.
