Revisions

A mix revision is considered a reasonable amount of changes to volume balances, tone and effect adjustments, or other sonic components to a mix. For example, "can you bring the volume of the guitar up and thicken the tone of the bass,” or “add more reverb to the vocals, and brighten up the snare drum.” What's considered a reasonable amount is to be determined by Secret Ninja Studios, but we like to be flexible and accommodating, and strive to get your mix to sound as best as it can be.

Major changes in direction are not considered a mix revision. "Can we try to distort the drums and go for a lo-fi sound to see if we like that better?" is considered a major direction change and will be treated as a new mix, and thus billed as a separate mix. For this reason, we suggest sending in as much detail and instruction about the direction to go, and also send in rough mixes and perhaps commercially released songs as a reference.
